Flink Gets Away With It
Two former Flink riders’ claims of wrongful dismissal have been rejected by Freiburg’s labour court.
They were fired by the company when it closed its Hub in Freiburg in October 2023 - 3 days before a Works Council Election was to be held.
Despite such unconvincing claims, the judges were given sufficient reason to believe that factors mentioned by Flink (e.g. lack of increase in orders over 2023) may have played some role in the Hub closure.

Flink Freiburg Union Busting Update - Spinelessness
On 19.12.2023, three riders - of the ca. 60 fired by Flink when it closed its Freiburg Hub 3 days before a Works Council election was due to be held - met Flink in court.
Flink Workers and their lawyer will work to prove that Flink’s closure of its Hub in Freiburg was a union busting and illegal act. Flink Workers find themselves, however, in a situation without clear precedent in German law. It will require a brave judge to find against Flink.
