🇺🇸FED TO AMERICA: YOU’LL GET YOUR RATE CUTS WHEN INFLATION BEHAVES

Mary Daly, one of the Fed’s top economic minds, says interest rate cuts might happen this year—but only if inflation finally stops acting up.

Translation? Prices are still rising like they missed the memo, and the Fed isn’t about to throw a party and slash rates while the economy’s still sweating.

Daly’s message: Cool it. We’re watching. Lowering rates too soon could bring inflation roaring back, and nobody wants to pay $12 for a loaf of bread again.

She also tossed in a little shade about Trump’s trade policies, saying they’ve added to the economic uncertainty—but so far, haven’t broken anything (yet).

Her bottom line? The Fed made a promise: fix inflation first, cut rates later.

And like any strict parent, they’re sticking to it—no treats until the chores are done.

A leaked USAID memo reveals an official has been placed on administrative leave with pay, effective immediately.

The document, signed by Acting Deputy Administrator Pete Marocco, bars the individual from accessing USAID systems or premises without permission.
