@seankelly014@SikhFeminist when her brother was like "i prayed with her over the phone" when she called him because she was terrified of her husband i was fuckin' infuriated.
how do you hear your sister in that state and not go beat the asshole up?
me watching someone tell bisexual women they have to "take a step back and listen" about discourse about their own identity that started about a book with A BISEXUAL FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER.
if you're using "sapphic" and "queer" in opposition to "bisexual" you are, indeed, being biphobic.
bisexual people are queer. any story that involves wlw is sapphic, regardless of whether it is endgame or not and regardless of whether the mc is a lesbian or a bisexual woman.
calling a story with a bisexual main character where they have multiple relationship with people of multiple genders "hetslop" and "queerbaiting" is, indeed biphobic.
@PetraKalecka@Poisonimpulse@stolenfolklore because it contains m/f romance as well as a f/f one and calling it hetslop and HARASSING THE AUTHOR is insanely biphobic is the crux of the problem here.
"most of us don't care about a book" THIS WHOLE DISCOURSE STARTED BECAUSE OF THE BOOK.
@PetraKalecka@Poisonimpulse@stolenfolklore RAN THE AUTHOR OFF OF SOCIAL MEDIA for daring to write a book about a bisexual woman who is actually bisexual in more than theory.
the fact that y'all can't seem to understand that claiming that a book about a bisexual woman written by a bisexual woman is queerbaiting+
& this is exactly what i meant in my thread. bisexual people had largely minimal choice when we turned to queer media, which predominantly focused on homosexuality. yet we engaged anyway. it was all we had.
@Thegreatduckduc@SenatorNabxrrie@hfkzelda considering the fact that THE AUTHOR of the book got literally run off social media because people think that a bisexual character having both a male and a female love interest is "queerbaiting" i'm not sure how to uplift books with bi mcs without suffering the same fate.
@TheQueensInTown the fact that they haven't posted anything in 5 days not even about their newfound activism and their bio is still all about bts π€¦ββοΈ typical leftover behavior
Not everything BTS do is in relation to the fanbase or an answer to the fans or in support of their fans. Their lives donβt 24/7 revolve around fans and honestly neither should yours
