It’s happening right in front of you, and you don’t even see it. You’re slowly being conditioned to accept things you never would have before. First, you’re okay with people being appointed without Senate approval, passed off as “recess appointments.” You’ll get comfortable with that. Then you’ll start to cheer on the slow deportation of “illegals,” thinking, yeah, get rid of them. But when it escalates—when they start deporting families and denaturalizing citizens—you’ll adjust to that too, because by then, it’ll feel normal.

Next, they’ll sell you the idea that our country has been greedy for too long and that sacrifices are necessary. Cuts will be made, people will suffer, and at first, you’ll be fine with it—until the suffering lands on your doorstep. And when it does, you’ll realize you supported a man who told you exactly who he was and what he planned to do from the start.

So, to your question about what’s happening: it’s already happening. There’s not even a second term yet, but the groundwork is being laid. You’re getting used to the destruction of transparency. They’re shouting about censoring news stations or suing them while claiming the “left” is censoring free speech—all while planning to do it themselves through executive orders and handpicked judges. And as that happens, they’ll convince you that everything you know is wrong, that they know best, and while you’re busy believing them, the wealth gap will widen. They and their buddies will profit, while the American people bear the cost.

If we even make it to that point before riots break out, it’ll be a miracle. But yeah, it’s already happening. The fact that you can’t see it isn’t entirely your fault, though. Half the country proved they were just as uninformed by voting for him. So, no—you’re not alone. But that doesn’t make it any less dangerous.
