UPDATE: We got an email from TeamUpdraft!

[Floex @FloexYT]

Your WordPress backup tool could become an attacker's way in.

Security alert for UpdraftPlus users. Reports link malicious plugin installs to its UpdraftCentral remote management channel.

The exact cause is still under investigation.

[Floex @FloexYT]

If your site is connected, preserve the logs and disconnect UpdraftCentral while you investigate. Check the connection keys on the site itself.

Review files and user access before reconnecting.

[Floex @FloexYT]

The reported payload posed as a harmless maintenance plugin.

It was designed to create a privileged account and log an attacker in without a password. A coding error broke the backdoor and crashed affected sites.

Check your UpdraftCentral event logs for unexpected plugin.upload_plugin commands.

Inspect unknown plugins and accounts named "Site Tools".

These are warning signs. Removing a plugin alone does not prove a site is clean.

Lots of discussion out there about our next model(!), so I wanted to give an early look as soon as possible. Introducing Gemini 4 Argon!

It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback.

Here’s a look at the benchmarks:

Kannst du dir wieder nicht ausdenken...

In Deutschland musst du für jeden Scheiß aufs Bürgerbüro und Amerika machen jetzt einfach ein KI Bürgerbüro online 🙃

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump signs an executive order directing EVERY federal agency to immediately start folding into https://t.co/JjijAndmRl, creating one AI-powered front door for the entire U.S. government.

ONE website to search for EVERYTHING from the federal government. No more bouncing between 47 different agency websites just to renew a passport or check a damn benefit.

47 is FINALLY bringing the federal government into the 21st century. Should've been done a LONG time ago! 🇺🇸

Mein erster Tag als Linux-Admin bei der #DeNIC lief total gut. Hab mit ChatGPT einen Fehler in deren DNS gefunden und sofort korrigiert.
