There was no conflict in Western Ukraine. There was a Conflict in the East Ukraine. So, limiting weapons to be used ONLY in the west is silly

Trump gave Ukraine a couple hundred Javeline Missiles, but Ukraine was only allowed to field them in the West of Ukraine....where there was no war.

Biden Ukraine a lot more weapons and it was critical in repelling Russian attacks
