@crystalwizard Do you have any real bugs in mind or are you just bitching and whining because they suggested that people donate their time to a completely free, largely volunteer project?
@microsoft and absolute dogshit interactions with humans, name a more iconic duo
Like, sorry I don't use this email for much, but this is an absolutely appalling and unacceptable response. 0% chance you're going to get $30 from me to buy a game I've already purchased.
@BladeoftheS Didn't you hear? Everybody knows someone whose cousin's spouse's Canadian friend's brother had to wait a while for care, and that means socialized medicine is bad. Definitely totally real stories that actually happened
Oh yeah, and nobody has to wait for medical care in the US
@ryanstrug@SaasyEngineer@shenetworks That's not a thing, Skippy. If it were, though, yes, I'd absolutely be trying to protect it.
PP provides medical care. That is, very simply, a fact. Facts do not care about your feelings.
@natsfert "The most pro-cannabis" Republican is a lot like being the tallest wooden roller coaster.
Like, sure, maybe it's true, but who cares when you can find a whole bunch of better options simply by using metal - or looking at not Republicans.
@_filtra Sort of. I think the type system is the big feature for me. Being able to encode a lot of business logic into types saves a ton of time testing.
But I think it'd be moot without memory safety. I don't want to have to think about those types of issues in e.g. my web service.
@HighnessOphelia Because universal healthcare is such an impossibly difficult problem that only every other developed country in the world has been able to figure it out
@_filtra I think so, in the same way that knives are the only tools chefs really care about. Spatulas and graters are typically kitchen supplies; the chef brings their good knives.
Similarly, it's less common for programmers to care enough about their mouse or chair to bring their own
