We have the most expensive energy in Europe, the most expensive train fares, the dirtiest rivers, the leakiest pipes, the most expensive mail…
The difference is Privatisation.
aren’t y’all tired of being fed bad music, bad clothes, bad films, bad shows? the movies are remakes, the clothes are poorly constructed, the music is uninspired, the performances are lazy, and none of us can escape ads. it feels like i’m losing my mind
See the problem with rich people is they think they are rich because they are smart instead of the truth of the matter is, for the vast majority, it just simply means they are white and their family did inhumane things to humans 4 generations ago to acquire wealth
My biggest takeaway from the Titan story is that we absolutely could have coordinated, multinational efforts to ensure no migrant dies crossing the sea and we choose not to.
the titanic wreck is 3800m down and a military submarine diving limit is up to 500m, who the hell told those guys to go 3800m down in a tincan with a playstation controller😭
*Five hundred* people drowned trying to reach Europe last week and it was covered but my god contrasting it to the coverage of this Titanic submarine is just appalling to see, so much more focus, experts on, analysis and interest from the public. Certain lives are so cheap to us

It’s incredibly brave but also quite shameful that the mother of a murdered teenager feels she has to implore people not to be racist in her child’s name. Right-wing media orgs and keyboard racists on Twitter could only dream of such humanity.
These are issues they could solve if they weren’t so busy trying to turn us ordinary folk against one another and stoking the fires of xenophobia and classism by making it seem like we’re being ‘illegally invaded’. Don’t let them brainwash you. They cannot get away with this.
It is quite overwhelming the amount of paths that are laid before a person in a single lifetime. Constant choices. To do or not, to go or to stay. It is a heavy burden at times to realise that a single choice can shape an entire life.
Do we all have that friend that when you go out with them it feels like they’re a local politician who knows everyone on earth and you’re their weird mute friend who just left the house for the first time in 8 years and is learning to smile again
