@novocrypto@opensea@natechastain To follow up on tokens tho: I’ve been reading up & personally think 1155 is the better one, though it might be nice to have an option for wrapping them as 721s to get the safety & single block option of 1155s AND the search-ability and singularity of 721s..Just an idea OpenSea 😃
@novocrypto@opensea@natechastain Indeed! We agree it is the best! 🥳 However, for the sake of ape: can not something be both the best and also not the best? 🤔
@novocrypto@BoredApeYC@opensea@natechastain I feel like it’s only right I also cite my sources: I learned this information just today actually from @j1mmy.eth and @rickeccak
Was thinking I’d thank them afterwards but really want to have full transparency in case I win for this argument
@novocrypto@BoredApeYC@opensea@natechastain In fact, some people have bought art that immediately depreciated because it was literally a picture of a rug (rather than what they were trying to buy) - ie. A scam.
A platform that contains depreciating art can simply not be considered the best, even thought it is clearly best.
@novocrypto@BoredApeYC@opensea@natechastain If Open Sea were the best NFT platform in the universe,
Then Open Sea would offer all participants free nachos.
As Open Sea does not offer free nachos,
It is therefore not the best NFT platform in the universe.
@novocrypto@BoredApeYC@opensea@natechastain All of the Open Sea NFTs are ERC1155, yet it is ERC721 that’s considered the higher quality token. 721 is considered higher quality because each token is completely unique, whereas 1155s are merely a copy of each other.
