If you can't say no to a thought that has been clogging you up for a while - you need to say yes.

Not a yes as in DOING the thing but setting it in motion.

Most of the time your mind will not want it anymore anyways.

Example 1: You think about texting a girl for a long time, fantasize about you two together

You finally text her

And literally 5 seconds after you press send you realize you actually don't even want her.

Could have saved tons of time by just setting it in motion earlier

Example 2: Gym guy is thinking about taking steroids and can't say no to get the thought out of his mind. The thought keeps coming back

So then my advive is to go the opposite way.

So the guy orders them online.

The idea leaves his mind immediately because it is set in motion, just gotta wait for it to arrive.

And what you will realize is by the time it's in his hands he will either have lost the urge already or realize it's a dumb idea and throw it away, sealing this mental pathway and stop thinking about it.

When you are actually confronted with your imagination of something you want to do in reality, your view will clear up.
