Anyone involved in the brilliant research idea by @FlowEcology . Check out this very informative video from @MartinGammell on how to take @crowd_water measurements. A very accessible user friendly app in the citizen science field!

Enjoying @crowd_water measuring so far as part of the @FlowEcology research project that started in March. Channel widening in quick flows leading to depth reduction latest change here. Good to see some citizen scientists about the midlands measuring too!

@karina2256 @WatersProgramme @RTallireland @EPACatchments@AnForamUisce@swanireland@nore_vision @WaterOfficerDUB @CuanBeo@RiversIreland@OffalyGoodWater It will definitely be useful if we can get some people recording on main rivers that already have gauges measuring flow, as we can then compare results from the App with that. However, all data is useful, and we will happily use recordings from smaller local streams as well.
We need citizen scientists to take water level measurements from Irish rivers in 2023, using a smartphone app. If interested in volunteering please attend one of our webinars on Weds 7th Dec 6-7pm, or Fri 9th Dec 1-2pm. More info & links to webinars here: https://t.co/OcM8qwqP0M
And that's a wrap! Autumn 2022 macroinvertebrate surveys are done, despite some difficult conditions this month. And that means that we have finished the fieldwork for our project. Well done to all our surveyors!
Last year's #LAWPRO and @RTallireland conference was online. This year, Saturday 26th November 10:00am the 'Communities Caring for Water' is a hybrid event, with in-person and online access.
