I hear this often:
“We lost, but we had more hits than the other team.”
Consider this:
Singles produce .29 runs on avg
Doubles produce .41 runs on avg
Home runs produce 1.44 runs on avg
Not saying singles are bad, but games are often won by the team w/more extra base hits.
4:03 AM, 43.7°, partly cloudy. Headed down the Belton Rd towards the Rock. On the radio The Eagles telling me-Some dance to remember , some dance to forget. That’s pretty heavy. I’ll decipher it later. Headed to work. Them boys got to eat.
Mitch Marner: "We're still early in the season. Obviously it's not what we wanted. Day off in Carolina. Fresh page. Go over what we did wrong tonight. We know a lot of the things we did wrong."
Evolution! I swear I will never be the former player/announcer/coach that talks about the way the game was played when they were playing. Guess what bro shit changes every day/every week/every month/every year. Adapt or die. #ZipIT
