@BullsCentralYT To clarify, agree there are plenty of busts in top five and plenty of stars out of it. But history and odds show there's a higher chance of a star at the higher end of the draft, and when your team sucks, a goal should be to stack those odds

@BullsCentralYT Only ~2–3% of all NBA players are top-5 picks, but they make up ~60–70% of All-NBA selections, roughly 25x more likely to reach All-NBA if you're a top-5 pick. Yes, 30-40% are not. Also, front office competence is actually more important for hitting on later picks.

@BullsCentralYT Create a consolation playoffs; teams that lose out on playoffs compete in a sudden death tournament to determine lottery position, with winner getting first pick. Seeds that had to compete in play in but lost get bye games in lottery tournament
