It feels a bit like David vs Goliath with the two proposals. Steve Cohen and companies have thrown a lot of money around Queens, hired dozens of people, and done a lot of outreach to gain support. The Phoenix Meadows proposal is very grassroots in response to Met Park proposal

It’s always hard to tell where the actual support is since a lot of it at the town halls I’ve been to comes from people being paid by Steve Cohen entities. This person works with a consultant on the project and she is handing out these signs

A huge crowd outside the hall of science for the town hall, many union members who told me they were told to come out to support the project.

Mike Tsagakis is in the painters union and came out because “jobs are good for everyone.”
