🚨MURDERED: August 2008, a 20-year-old Jordanian woman named Rana Al-Sawahreh was stabbed to death by her own father after she refused to leave her husband, who had converted from Islam to Christianity.

Sultan Al-Sawahreh, her cousin and husband, had gone to Iraq to fight American forces, then returned to Jordan, began questioning Islam, and converted. The couple had two young daughters. When his conversion became known, Rana’s family demanded they separate. Under traditional Islamic rules, a Muslim woman cannot remain married to a man who leaves the faith. Rana refused. They continued to meet in secret. According to Sultan, she also became a Christian, and they planned to leave Jordan with their daughters.

On 28 August 2008, while Sultan was away, her father found her. He stabbed her five or six times in the abdomen and chest, then struck her head with a stone. She died days before her 21st birthday. He washed his hands and went to the market, where he was later arrested. Swiss reports from 2009 and an interview Sultan gave on Brother Rachid’s Daring Questions program in 2008 confirm the killing. Rana’s mother and brother acknowledged the murder but disputed that she had converted.

A father killed his daughter rather than allow her to stay with a Christian husband. Two little girls lost their mother. Her name was Rana.

Absurdo. Sigo diciendo que quiero "construir un estado". E irónicamente, justo al lado está Israel: el vecino que construyó una democracia próspera, una potencia tecnológica, granjas en el desierto, ciudades de polvo. Sin petróleo, sin riqueza infinita, solo coraje. Podría haber aprendido, copiado, colaborado. En cambio, elegí la envidia y la rabia.

Obsesión antijudía. Podría haber aceptado a los judíos como vecinos. Podría haber dicho: "Dos naciones, dos estados". En cambio, repito: "Del río al mar". En lugar de exhibir el honor, la hospitalidad y la rica cultura árabe, mostré solo la cultura de la espada: la ira, el extremismo y la sangre.
