Great news for ALL workers @GoBrightline, where the TWU represents Onboard Attendants and Lead Attendants. Today marks the beginning of Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. AAPI communities are far-reaching and incredibly diverse, with origins spanning from East Asia to the Pacific Islands. AAPI Heritage Month affirms that these communities’ stories are essential to the American narrative, celebrating their resilience and recognizing their invaluable contributions to our nation.
A Filipino Proverb says, "matibay ang walis, palibhasa'y nakabigkis,” which translates to "a broom is sturdy because its strands are tightly bound." In other words, Unity is Strength.
AAPI labor leaders have always been at the forefront of building solidarity among workers across communities and building unity to create big change. The TWU proudly celebrates AAPI Heritage Month. May we all continue to recognize that diversity strengthens our Union.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has released a draft congressional map ahead of the state's special redistricting session.

Compared to the current map (left), the new map (right) would eliminate as many as 4 Democratic representatives - 2 in central Florida and 2 in south Florida.

A federal judge dismissed a Brightline railroad lawsuit that, if successful, would have invalidated workers' successful vote to unionize.
“This is a huge victory for the workers and the TWU,” @TwuSamuelsen said. “Brightline should finally realize it has reached the end of the line. The railroad’s multi-year attempt to silence its workers and deny them the right to negotiate for fair wages and benefits, has been nothing short of shameful."
