Trick for samples and loops: Duplicate the track and reverse the polarity on one of the tracks. There should be total silence. Insert an EQ on one track and do a slight boost or cut in the frequency area/areas you want to be hearable. Extreme sculpting w/ a simple EQ move!
At the first downbeat of the chorus, make a couple of tracks few dB louder. This will trick the brain into perceiving the whole chorus as louder. #tricks#tips#musicproduction

High frequencies are mostly perceived in the transients. If a sound is too piercingly bright but loses presence and brilliance when you use an EQ to fix it, use a transient designer to back off the transient and let the tail of the sound be bright. #musicproduction#ableton
