Someone built a fitness app using the same psychological mechanics as gambling
This might work better than every normal fitness app 😭😭
You bet money on whether you’ll hit 10,000 steps today
If you fail, you lose your money
If you succeed, you split the money from everyone who didn’t
So disciplined people literally profit off lazy people
Most fitness apps try motivating you with streaks and notifications
This one motivates you with financial fear
Imagine realizing at 11:52pm you still need 1,700 more steps or you lose $30
Entire friend groups would be outside walking laps around their neighborhood before midnight trying not to lose their steppa challenge
It sounds stupid but this would probably motivate people better than any other fitness product
Would you use this yourself?
🚨GIVEAWAY TIME 🚨

📍A very serious issue i want to talk about.
Every time someone young does something big in India, the media somehow finds a way to drag IIT into the story.
Today, I saw this headline:
“19-year-old Mumbai boy, who once planned to crack IIT, raises ₹23 crore for his AI startup.”
And honestly… why?
Why does every achievement need to be validated through IIT?
Dhravya didn’t go to IIT.
He didn’t need to.
He took the harder path betting on himself, building from scratch, taking real risks when most people his age are still figuring out what to study.
But instead of celebrating that, the headline says “he once planned to crack IIT.”
As if that somehow makes his success more believable.
This is the core problem.
We’ve built a culture that worships institutions, not individuals.
Parents brag about “IIT” like it’s a life achievement.
The media milks it for credibility.
And society keeps reinforcing the idea that you’re only worth something if you come from a certain tag.
It’s the same story everywhere someone studies metallurgy from IIT Kharagpur, joins Google, and people go “because IIT.”
No, bro. Because he worked for it. Because he learned, adapted, and took shots.
IIT didn’t build him he built himself.
Dhravya’s story is powerful because he went against that system.
Because he didn’t take the safe route.
And yet, the system still wants to claim his success as its own.
This mindset is exactly why real builders rarely get credit here.
We glorify pedigree over proof, degrees over doing.
Not everything great in India has to have “IIT” attached to it.
Dhravya didn’t need IIT to build and that’s the headline we should be celebrating.
