🎉 Announcement: Helen Bolter Award Winner - Stuart Cosgrove!
🏆We are thrilled to reveal that the esteemed recipient of this year's Helen Bolter Award is none other than Stuart Cosgrove, a dedicated physiotherapist with an extraordinary impact on Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) awareness.
🌟 About the Helen Bolter Award: The Helen Bolter Award is an annual initiative honouring healthcare professionals who go above and beyond to combat the stigma surrounding FND. From dismantling negative attitudes to providing factual information and support, nominees embody a commitment to dignity, respect, and positive change.
👏 Meet Stuart Cosgrove - A Beacon of Compassion: Stuart, a seasoned physiotherapist with a career spanning back to 1982, has displayed exceptional dedication. Beyond his private clinic, his influence extends to teaching acupuncture and manipulation, lecturing at medical institutes, and working with world champions like Dorian Yates and Ernie Taylor.
🌍 A Champion for Change: Stuart's journey is more than accolades; it's about breaking barriers. From his own bodybuilding triumphs to shaping the future of physiotherapy education, he embodies the spirit of the Helen Bolter Award.
💙 In Memory of Dr Helen Bolter: The Helen Bolter Award is a tribute to the late Dr Helen Bolter, a fierce advocate against social injustice. Her legacy lives on through individuals like Stuart, who share her passion for making a difference.
💬 Stuart says: 'I was very surprised to hear I have won this award. I feel very humbled by it all. FND is a relatively new condition to most physios, me included and it is still a steep learning curve to develop the best protocols to deal with patients with this condition. It is so frightening and frustrating for patients who suffer with this that showing empathy and concern is the first priority for the therapist. I also try to deal with each person individually as it’s definitely not a ‘ one size fits all’ scenario! So I was shocked but very happy to receive this award, and it spurs me on to continue to learn more about this debilitating condition and continue to help my patients to improve. Many thanks to all concerned!'
🙌 Congratulations, Stuart Cosgrove! Your dedication to challenging stereotypes and uplifting those affected by FND is truly commendable. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and inspiration.
🌿 Join us in Celebrating Stuart's Remarkable Achievements! Drop your congratulations and lets celebrate the incredible impact Stuart has made on the FND community. 🎊👏
