This hasty generalization fallacy never makes sense, nor does it track. Even further still, nor does it hold up to the most paltry of intellectually honest scrutiny.

The number of male-centric comic book movies that have bombed and been received poorly is large.

People don't hate women-led superhero movies. They dislike movies and entertainment that don't resonate with them, be that characterization or simply script quality. The CBS and then CW Supergirl TV show started off with VERY high numbers and strong reception, because people resonated with the characters.
