As someone who also has OCD it’s disturbing how many people are saying that intrusive thoughts reflect morality. It ruins your life, it’s not some quirky little thing you can control.
“Why would someone show up to a protest with a gun?”
He wasn’t at a protest. He was doing his normal life and then ICE showed up and turned the scene upside down in a matter of seconds. This is how we all live now. Whatever we carry we are potentially “bringing to a protest”
I don’t even live in America and I’m infuriated about the stuff I am seeing. If law enforcement were killing people on the streets in England and people were bringing up Adele in the conversation instead of law makers, I would lose it. No way that’s what you’re thinking about rn.
Just curious, is there ANYTHING that an ICE agent can do that Republicans will condemn as wrong? Anything at all? Or is it just automatically defend ICE no matter what now? That’s who you are?
If there's a political point you want to take away from the Doc that's actually useful, it's abouthow DEI can be both important and effective at bringing in the most talented staff. Taylor was open about how she used DEI (without saying the word) as a major criteria for selecting her dancers. And despite what the critics say, it didn't get her "unqualified diversity hires." It got her the best of the best.
Kam's story really highlights that. He was consistently passed over as a dancer, not because of his talent, but because he didn't fit a prototype that people had in their minds of what a dancer should look like.
But when given the chance, he thrived. The Eras Tour would not have been the Eras Tour without Kam. He became as integral to it as any person not named Taylor.
And that, children, is what DEI was originally envisioned for. Not to exclude people, but to include people, and to make sure your search for the very best staff isn't limited by industry biases.
again snark pages/blind items are the alt right pipe line for women and you’re not immune just because you’re a “feminist” and think you are smart enough not to get sucked in
at the end of the day I'm a swiftie like it's really that simple. I don't care about the stuff that keeps stan accounts in battle on the daily. I just like having her music and the privilege of seeing whatever else she shows me
Taylor Swift has been directly dismantling a lot of the misogynistic narratives about women + their careers and ambitions then came out & said she’s not gonna let misogyny dictate her career and instead of applauding people have someone decided she’s the great societal evil here
all of you think you sound woke for saying taylor swift should retire so other people get a turn at the top but you really just sound misogynistic for saying a woman at the height of her career should retire because her success makes you uncomfortable.
There's so much good that Taylor does in the shadows that isn't revealed until years later, if at all. Meanwhile, internet activists sit on here ranting about how she's a billionaire without actually doing anything to contribute positively to their communities.
you don’t have to still like taylor it’s fine to grow apart from an artist but i don’t understand why despite not enjoying a single thing she does yall insist on including urself in swiftie spaces like can you go away
