Congratulations to our New Orleans Magazine Changemaker: Claire Jecklin.
Claire is a passionate advocate for workforce development and has dedicated her career to helping people in our community navigate to the future they want for themselves.
Under her leadership, New Orleans Career Center has become a leading provider of career and technical education for hundreds of New Orleanians, helping them get the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.
Last week I was able to speak @ the ribbon cutting for the N.O. Career Center. This facility is a $35 million investment in Career & Tech Ed for @NOLAPSchools students.
Students graduate from @followNOCC w/ certifications in engineering, health, & building trades to name a few.
Building trades jobs are in high demand. This investment will help to train the next generation of skilled workers. Thanks to UA Local 60 & MCA for their support.
