Loneliness can be especially difficult for autistic people.

When I have a “special person” in my life, whether it be a best friend or romantic partner, I am able to function in society and maintain my sense of self.

When I have no strong social connections, my mental state collapses and I forget who I am.

Autistic people need someone they can talk to every single day.
