#kecharasoupkitchen Activity summary: helping with urgent medical needs and distributing hot meals to clients. THANK YOU medic team, all our volunteers and ASTRO AEC for featuring us - here's the video link: https://t.co/artsDbV27l
We've presented 85 Christmas shoeboxes to 85 underprivileged children from 27 families, thanks to the generosity of sponsor Alice Smith School Foundation. A special shoutout to the students who participated! Together, let's continue to #makeadifference! Happy Holidays, everyone!
#WFH is boring without a tub of chocolate chip butter cookies next to you. Freshly baked by the bakers in #kecharaempowerment. #ABiteToEat with a tub or two will keep you smiling happily throughout your day. Call 0173388462 for your order.
Why do we distribute food surplus to needy families registered under Kechara Food Bank program? Instead of food going to waste, we can feed the needy families with nutritious food and save the environment. #kecharafoodbank#kecharaempowerment#kecharasoupkitchen
As the CMCO drawing to an end and going into the new phase of RMCO. Our apologies for the silence or rather inactivity in our social media page, we have been kept very busy with all the happenings behind the scene.
Lots of logistics planning and arrangements to make sure we can reach everyone in need. Apart from rallying volunteers to help with the deliveries, we were also busy trying securing kind people who can supply and deliver food in anyway they can.
MCO has been a challenge for everyone; our beneficiaries, volunteers as well as our regular supporters. Each day, we receive enquiries for food assistance from contacts and public whilst juggling with the existing recipients whom we have committed to.
The vetting process has never been quicker and food dished out in no time to make sure all will receive. This does not help when we are already a depleted team. While team A is busy packing in our humble food bank warehouse, another team is busy collecting surplus food & then...
Team C is delivering provisions. Team D meanwhile is busy delivering cooked food to the homeless clients who are still in the DBKL run community centres. So you can imagine the amount of work behind the planning and execution process.
Apart from food provisions, eggs, we were able to deliver Dettol soap bars and Massimo bread. We also rallied a group of community partners to work together to deliver to as many possible communities of vulnerable group around Klang Valley.
With their help we were able to be in touch with 1,000s of new families and more shelter homes in need within the two weeks. All the sweat and muscle pain are becoming more meaningful than ever. If you have spare time especially on weekdays or weekends, do let us know.
As our nation continues our fight against COVID19, we at Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK) recognise that many good people are putting their own lives at risks for us. Right now, the most vulnerable people are not only the poor and financially disadvantaged but also the very brave...
