Thatwas due to western capitalists instigating wars upon them to push opium and steal China's wealth not to mention japanese imperialists who also plundererd China and evenentually CKS

@henrysgao Yes, western capitalists who run them over with military might to force opium upon them then you also had imperialist Japan who also did its part. All of these events led up to the revolutions of which the one of 1949 held its place and lifted the 800 million out of poverty!
