@FONT_NI Transition will be a slower process allowing time for children and parents to build up a relationship with us and developing that Nurture approach !

@NewtownardsS@FONT_NI Yes, we were thinking about Friday for the same reasons. Thorough cleaning is definitely a top priority, especially when dealing with such young children and an invisible virus! Maybe a good opportunity for staff to come together and reflect at the start of the day too.
@MissAdair91@NewtownardsS That's why we set up the FONT twitter and Facebook pages. It helps to share ideas and think through things with other nursery people!
Today's conversation starter... without clear guidance from DE it's difficult to plan definite changes yet, but what are your thoughts on what you will change?
@FONT_NI Again, awaiting the guidance. Ideally activities and group sizes that will accommodate as many opportunities as possible for developing secure interactions and relationships. PSE at the forefront and wellbeing at the core!
@NewtownardsS@FONT_NI We are definitely going to do the same. A slower settling in means a quieter space for the children, more adult interaction, a greater opportunity to make detailed observations and more time to answer any parental concerns. Any thoughts on how you will timetable this?
🚨 Our next conversation is live on Eventbrite! 🚨 This one is all about Early Years! We have another fantastic panel lined up so stay tuned for that announcement coming soon 👀 Limited tickets available this time!

@FONT_NI@FONT_NI we are looking at resources in the classroom that can’t been cleaned regularly like soft furnishings and planning smaller groups for settling in over a longer period and plenty of outdoor play ! Until guidance we can’t do much more !
@FONT_NI I plan to make very little changes to my environment apart from indoor seperate resources for seperate groups. We will be outside a lot more and I plan to extend my smaller group settling in to more than the usual 2 weeks. Well that’s where my head is at at the moment.
@JoanneDunne1@FONT_NI They loved seeing each other on video. I worry that they are missing the social aspects of nursery, which are so important. Seeing each other on show and tell isn't perfect but it's something and they always have comments for each other after.
@FONT_NI One of my favourite activities has been show and tell. The children sent clips of no more than 1 minute on Seesaw and I put them together using Clips and shared with the whole class. They loved showing things they normally couldn't like dogs and baby sisters!
