Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte on Sunday slammed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. following the arrest of his father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, who was taken to The Hague, Netherlands.
"Mr. President Marcos, you will never be loved, especially [by] us who are calling out Rody Duterte’s name," he said in his speech during the 88th Araw ng Dabaw celebration in Davao City.
The former chief executive is currently under the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to face charges of crimes against humanity for his war on drugs. He appeared at the ICC's pre-trial via video link on March 14, 2025.
