Just walked into Walmart ready to drop $250 I honestly couldn’t afford on a portable AC for my mobile home. While I’m standing there pricing a little 5,000 BTU unit, my second boss calls me. I told her what I was doing… and her husband immediately jumps on the phone: “Nope. Save your money. I’ve got one for you.” (They’re closing on a house with central air, so they don’t need it anymore.) I asked what he wanted for it. His reply? “Just come pick it up.” Y’all… I brought home a $500, 8,000 BTU LG that’s so cold it’s got me shivering in my living room right now. LG really does stand for “Life is Good.” Thank You Lord for showing up in the middle of a stressful season and reminding me that You see me.

Holy crap. I just had a conversation with an animal control officer who was sent to our house because someone claimed that our dogs had no shelter from the June sun.

He took one look at the ample shelter they have in all three of our paddocks and laughed.

He and I had a pleasant conversation for several minutes, discussing goats, geese, and miniature donkeys. We shook hands and he drove off.

It was hard for me to contain the anger that was bubbling up inside of me - not at the officer, but at the person who called in yet another complaint about me to law enforcement.

To the individual who thinks it is okay to continue harassing us this way, who thinks that law enforcement is nothing more than your cudgel to bludgeon us just because we choose to live our lives on our own property differently than you think we should - you Stasi in your would-be country club - know this: your days of bullying me and my family are over.

I know you are reading these posts of mine. So let me break something down for you. You are not yet famous. Why? Because I have been protecting you. I have extended you a grace that you would never extend me.

Even now - even after your latest failed attempt to bully me and my family - I will continue to protect you. I will continue to show grace to you. But my patience is wearing very thin.

Remember that next time you pick up the phone to call the police over something laughable and picayune.

And you know what? My dog's coming home. Nothing you can do about it. Deal with it.

🚨 IS THIS WHAT DRUMMOND CALLS TOUGH ON DOMESTIC ABUSE?

State Rep. Ty Burns (R-Morrison) allegedly tried to gouge out his wife’s eye with his finger during a Thanksgiving 2024 argument, breaking a blood vessel and causing injury.

Months later, on April 25, 2025, Burns allegedly used his pickup truck to chase and force another vehicle off the road into a ditch. That vehicle contained his 16-year-old daughter and a relative. According to reports, his daughter feared he would kill her.

These are serious allegations involving violence against members of his own family.

Yet under Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s prosecution, after the local district attorney recused:

• Burns faced only misdemeanor charges: one count of domestic abuse and two counts of assault.

• Charging, guilty plea, and sentencing all occurred on the same day, August 28, 2025.

• Sentence: One-year suspended sentence on each count (served concurrently), 52 weeks of Batterers Intervention counseling, and unsupervised probation.

• No jail time.

Drummond publicly described the case as involving “serious charges” and stated there is “no excuse for domestic violence.”

However, critics argue the outcome did not match the rhetoric.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, Burns was treated as a first-time offender with no prior criminal record. Drummond later defended the misdemeanor resolution and suggested those unhappy with the outcome should seek changes in state law.

Burns resigned from the Oklahoma Legislature days later under public pressure, but only after accepting a plea agreement that avoided felony convictions.

⚖️ The case raises questions as Drummond campaigns for governor:

• Tough public rhetoric on domestic violence.

• A high-profile case involving a fellow Republican lawmaker.

• An outcome that some critics argue was too lenient given the allegations.

• Comparisons to other highly publicized actions that critics say generated headlines while producing mixed results.

Supporters argue the Attorney General followed Oklahoma law and secured a conviction based on the evidence available.
