Complaints about the World Cup timing of games is a little tone deaf, I can't lie. Welcome to what the rest of the world experiences to follow European football. It is a different kind of time commitment when you are in North America, South America, Asia & Australia.

🏆 Referee announced for 2026 #SuperCup!
We're pleased to share that Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the highly anticipated match between PSG and Aston Villa in Salzburg.
Calling Sangare all-action barely begins to cover it.
The only Ligue 1 player in 2025/26 with:
50+ shots (26th in Ligue 1) and 50+ tackles (2nd).
Throw in 40 interceptions (11th) for good measure.
And he missed a month of the season cause of AFCON.

This is a nice surprise, though I'd approach it with trepidation. Mamadou Sangare is in the mould of Tchouameni, Garner, the kind of alternative #6 target. He's a Christopher Vivell disciple from Red Bull days.
Left footed, an elite ball winner, interceptor & tackler, reads the game brilliantly & ranks in the 96th percentile for key passes & is a little underrated technically. My concern would be how ready he is for a big move.
He's an all-action midfielder & it's between him or Lamine Camara for the best in Ligue 1 (excluding PSG). A move like this would indicate Manchester United are willing to shop elsewhere for better value.
I'd wait for a better sourced report, but it's interesting.
