@LouMerloni “would be nice for Story to hit a two run shot…” yeah except he’s statistically one of the worst players in the entire league…..promptly grounds into DP
Alex Cora on the “sell the team” chants: “That’s why we love it here, their expectations are up there with us. Right now we deserve whatever they’re thinking, we’re not playing good baseball.”
I don’t. I hope we lose the rest of the way and you can keep paying $275 for bad seats at Fenway and Henry turns that into a profit to buy more assets.
And tourists will still fill the seats all summer long and real change won’t happen. What POBO wants this job? None. We’re stuck in mediocrity forever. Our saving grace Roman can’t throw the ball 10 feet.
I have never been this depressed about the Red Sox so early in the season. Normally I sleep off bad losses easily but I have no motivation to do anything today. The owners don't care, the POBO is inept, the team looks awful, fans are miserable. There is no reason to smile today.
Lou how can real Sox fans initiate change? Tourists will go to Fenway, so there will always be people there.
We’ve lost our club. They don’t love baseball. Fans hate the team, and an 86 year drought is on the horizon. I’d rather have saudis than FSG own
"Our owners in Boston, they've been owners for 10 years. They come in with all these ideas about baseball, but I don't think they love baseball. I think they like baseball. It's revenue, and I know that's their right and their interest because they're owners -- and they're good owners. But they don't love the game. It's still more of a toy or a hobby for them. It's not their blood." -Semiregular reminder that Terry Francona is a remarkably insightful judge of character.
We’re trapped forever because dumb tourists go to fenway and they will sit and pay, where real Sox fans cannot make an impact. We’re stuck with Henry forever will never win again
So, just to clarify, these idiots sit there and freeze on an April night for a terrible product and THEN chant ‘sell the team’ after forking over money all night like that’s gonna work….
It will never happen, but if people truly want change, JUST STOP GOING
I've been anti-Breslow for a while now but I don't think you can fire another PBO after not even three years and expect anyone competent to take on the gig. He's probably the safest of anyone.
Ball park buzz trust will never be repaired since Mookie. He’s literally our Ted Williams and the key piece we got from him was Verdugo. I mean what a fucking joke.
And yeah Breskow sucks. Tibbs is the next Bonds, Harrison next Cy Young. And we got…DUSTY FUCKING MAY!
I had this thought last night that I am going to get crushed for but I think it’s the reality of the situation.
A lot of Red Sox fans want heads to roll, especially Craig Breslow.
My question to all of those people is if Craig Breslow was choice #11 a few years ago, how much further down the list will the Red Sox have to go this time?
Everybody will know that the Red Sox have gone through their top executives every 3-4 years since 2011. And they have a fan base who is yelling sell the team 9 and 10 games into the season after a season with 89 wins and a playoff appearance.
I have a feeling that if you are one of those people calling for action, you won’t like the replacement options.
I’m not saying I won’t be on the side calling for a move in the future, but you have to let the season play out past 10 games.
Hey Gordo. WE DONT CARE! Mookie was our generations Ted Williams and we gave him away for NOTHING! They should sell the team off that alone.
What GM wants the Sox job with Henry in charge? NONE!
Ownership has signed off on three nine-figure deals in the last calendar year. They gave the FO the green light to spend money and trade future assets this winter. Highest payroll in team history, 6th highest CBT number in baseball.
Blame em for Mookie, full throttle, everything ‘20-‘24. It was awful. But going from last year’s product to this year’s is on others before it’s on ownership.
