Crazy ass moments like this is WHY I love P2 so much. P1 is a Jungian masterpiece so how do you follow it up? By making a batshit crazy game that is just one massive mindfuck full of depression. Best sequel of all time.
For those going “but we know they won’t die”- It doesn’t matter that WE know they survive. What matters is the characters think they won’t. The drama comes from how they respond in the moment. The cinemasins-ification of discourse has warped how ppl process stories for the worse
If my legacy is me crying over a game feature that's basically the equivalent of a game asking whether my character is a boy or girl, I'd never show my face in public ever again
The best way to describe the differences between this game and Insomniac's games is that this is Greek God of War and Insomniac Spider-Man is Norse God of War
Saw a clip of Rob Liefeld saying that the ending of Watchmen sucks and suddenly a key turned inside my head
Now I properly get the claim that "Image creators misunderstood Moore and Miller" and why big 2 90's comics are the way they are. Thanks Rob
@doriannews1 tbh i kinda get it in that akechi did like murder haru and futabas dads and they dont seem mad enough at it
but tbh id mostly say thats an issue with harus writing, not the pt as a whole
The anime-only Persona 4 character Aika Nakamura has an entire 1-hour Drama CD structured like a Linked Episode.
In it, she convinces Yu Narukami to work at Aiya to fill in for her mother. Yu learns why she takes delivery so seriously, made worse by Aiya potentially closing.
Can't engage with Shakespeare because none of the characters scale above wall level. Slop narrative. Same thing with Sopranos or Breaking Bad wish they gave jesse some town level feats would have made it engaging
If I had conceptualized a game so good that even its contextless test demo completely changed the character of horror games for the next generation, I'd also be pretty pissed off if it got cancelled.
