@Aquilae_80085@Lucainpresolana@Pontifex Gen a.i. is not necessary for that purpose, and is clearly being used for totally unnecessary purposes.
Tech is supposed to support humanity in a positive way, and if the developers and owners aren't on that page, which they clearly are not, it's useless.
I have decided to drop out of the AI program at Amazon. I will not be making a Punky Duck series. Actions speak louder than words.
My intent was to showcase artists, both new and seasoned, both inside and outside the studios, driving this new tech.
My sincerest apology to those I upset. I promise to do better moving forward. Thank you for your patience with me. I will try harder.
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
@Aquilae_80085@Lucainpresolana@Pontifex Go read a book, or a research/review paper.
Talking about learning as if you can't just learn organically is wild, especially since gen a.i. which is what is obviously being discussed here, the bad one. basic a.i generates results. No drama, just cold hard pattern recognition.
We employ over 80 artists to carefully work on every single part of the animation and creative process.
You will never get the nuance, complexity and beauty of a Ghibli film without the human hand and their love.
We will never use AI to replace art in our works.
@MrSkippyable money has never been the issue with these studios. they're making millions if not billions. all this money goes to the people at the top in a selfish attempt to increase margins. the corporation makes bank the employees get their jobs and pay cut.
An even if you did, what do you think the end goal of AI (in animation) is? Make things cheaper? When has that EVER worked in our industry? Studios have shown time and time again that they will always cut corners at the expense of their employees.
Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together. In Jesus Christ, this humanity in its grandeur becomes the Way, the Truth and the Life, opening the path for each of us to grow toward fullness. #MagnificaHumanitas
