The National Awareness and Media Directorate of Forces 70 has launched a series of awareness seminars at Shorsh General Hospital as part of its efforts to strengthen national awareness, professional development, and cooperation with medical institutions under the Command. The first seminar, attended by officers, physicians, and personnel, featured an awareness lecture by Teacher Niaz Saeed Ali, followed by discussions that enriched the participants' knowledge and experience.

The initiative aims to strengthen strategic planning, rapid decision-making, and cooperation while advancing the Peshmerga's professional military capabilities in line with modern standards.

Staff Lieutenant General Omar Salih Hassan, Commander of Forces 70, met with Staff Lieutenant General Mariwan Muhammad Amin, Commander of the Second Support Forces, along with commanders and officers there on June 22, 2026.

During the visit, Staff Lieutenant General Hassan congratulated Staff Lieutenant General Amin on his promotion from the rank of Staff Major General.
He also praised the role of the Second Support Forces in advancing military professionalism and wished them to always lead in defending the sacred soil of Kurdistan.

The Military Training Directorate held a middle- and long-distance running competition for male and female Forces 70 commissioned officers and enlisted personnel. Senior officers concluded the event by presenting awards to the top individual runners and teams to recognize their athletic achievements and physical readiness.

During the meeting, President Bafel warmly congratulated Staff Lieutenant General Omar Salih Hassan on his promotion in rank and valued his roles and services in reorganizing the Peshmerga forces.

President Bafel commended the heroic Peshmerga for their efforts to protect the Kurdistan Region and stated that the Peshmerga forces should be reorganized in accordance with modern military science and international standards.

The Military Training Directorate held a conference for training directors across Forces 70 units. The session focused on strategic plans to enhance combat readiness, modernize training programs, and expand instruction across military schools to strengthen Peshmerga capabilities.

A closing ceremony was held at Forces 70 for a capacity-building communications course for a number of Peshmerga officers and personnel. The 21-day program combined theoretical and practical training to strengthen modern communication skills, and participants were awarded certificates.

First military band course for the Disciplinary Company of the Forces 70 concluded at the Warfare School. The 60-day course included 13 participants from the unit, focusing on military music training and boosting ceremonial performance abilities skills of the Peshmerga forces.
