The Ontario chapter of the ACP assisted an elderly neighbour last weekend who was experiencing water leakage in their basement. While we were there, we cleaned up their garden and discussed why communists must be rooted in the community and among the people.
Helping your neighbours is not only an act of charity that gives back to the community that formed you, but also is a useful opportunity to learn new skills and develop personally.
ACP Ontario is committed to serving the needs of others and developing well-rounded cadres able to rebuild the country.
@HughMungus8814@acp_ontario Brother, you're a cuck to pedophiliac cousin fuckers in Britain ๐ซต๐คฃ
If you know how, read Common Sense by Thomas Paine
@SocialistSauce@uncannymannyyt@fruitattack3@yrysbryd@Peter_Irishthug When communists came, peasants moaned about dealing with yet another pest in their community; but when they left they left behind repaired fences, new roads, better farming practices, and literate people. The communists lost lots, but gained the respect of the people.
@SocialistSauce@uncannymannyyt@fruitattack3@yrysbryd@Peter_Irishthug Che considered this sort of community work to be of extreme import, he wrote about it in Guerilla Warfare. Community service to him was an act of war against the state. When the PLA was fighting the KMT they used considerable resources to help out (often hostile even) peasants.
@SocialistSauce@uncannymannyyt@fruitattack3@yrysbryd@Peter_Irishthug We can do both. Ontario certainly is doing both. You don't see the potential of building real skills and helping the community fine, but when the reactionaries come where will you hide? Who will protect you? Who vouches for you? Who wants you in their community?
The masses?
@SocialistSauce@uncannymannyyt@fruitattack3@yrysbryd@Peter_Irishthug 30 years? I didn't think anarchists could think so long ahead. Don't you have some drug bender to go on? Let us help our neighbours, encourage positive growth while building community connections and you do whatever it is you do. Distribute a zine or something
@SocialistSauce@uncannymannyyt@fruitattack3@yrysbryd@Peter_Irishthug Community work is an opportunity for cadres to gain real skills, while also socializing with the community we live in. Absolutely it is important. Every successful Communist party has supported their communities. When this person thinks of communists, they think of our work.
ACP Ontario is back out again helping our friends and neighbours by providing skills and equipment to repair and maintain their homes. But how does this relate to communism and the development of cadres as professional revolutionaries? โ
Community service (Mutual aid) isn't just charity for revolutionaries. Helping your neighbours when the government and system fail you is an act of alternative means. By using your knowledge and resources to teach self-reliance to the community you create the basis for dual power, and build goodwill with the community that communists seek to protect.
However, communists have no illusions that the country can be saved by charitable service alone. Helping your community is also an opportunity to develop cadres' technical and rhetorical skills at a time when both are fading due to new anti-social paradigms and gig work.
Meet Joe, otherwise known as OneLAClean, the man who has single-handedly built a successful network of volunteers and activists who come together to feed those in need.
Los Angeles is a region marred by food deserts and economic disparities. A significant part of the work that the ACP does is rooted in the development of food sovereignty for the communities we serve. Part of this work involves networking with community members to come together and provide food to the people who need it most.
@uzidmanslefttit@sonofthecobra@MLReadingHub You need to be more honest. Lenin didn't legalize homosexuality, he did away with the entire tsarist legal code. Homosexuality wasn't reincluded in 1922 in Russia/Ukraine but during Lenin's time there were still trials against homosexual acts or often was labelled paedophilia.
@error_525@uncannymannyyt@Handre So "real communism" has never been tried?
China says it is communist, communists say it is communist, liberals say it isn't because then they'd have to accept it works. Pretty simple. What you see in China, all of it, is communism.
@tiredhungryangr Doubtful they hacked it, more likely they actually just ran it like everybody else who made that announcement did.
For Canada, the CPC Ontario purged entire chapters for following or engaging with personalities they didn't like and attempted to liquidate the party in the 90s.
@tiredhungryangr So you are a non party simpleton who couldn't maintain organization but still larp as a foundational member.
Before the ACP I was a member of the armed forces. I left the armed forces to form the Ontario chapter.
@tiredhungryangr Everything we spoke about happened before the party, by individuals without yet a collective body. But again, you're literally in the DSA. Stones in glass houses
@tiredhungryangr Combat Liberalism is a foundational text of all members of the ACP. You cannot become a cadre without reading it. The circumstances have now changed. Within the CPUSA, secrecy was needed for the majority. Now in a new form, liberalism is rooted out before you are allowed to join.
