@MrDelightful2 If he dies, the game is over. But there will be a level system that will stay even after the lord died. So you can start another game with his heir and use the former lord's experience to build a new village. More details are about to come.

The lord will be able to defend himself, but he won't be fighting with his soldiers. He will act more as a commander that tells his soldiers where to go and how to fight.
