Our community groups have been busy turning scrap wood into bird boxes, giving garden wildlife a safe place to nest. A fun, sustainable project that makes a big difference for nature and prevents waste π

ππ» As part of their 'Doing Our Bit' initiative, the team swapped their offices for the great outdoors and made a real impact on our five-acre site
βοΈ Tea, coffee and biscuits kept spirits high, and stonebaked pizzas for lunch gave everyone a well-earned boost to power through the afternoon ππͺ

On #WorldMentalHealthDay we honour the importance of mental wellbeing.
Improving mental health and wellbeing is at the heart of our charity. By creating gardens and green spaces, we offer places of purpose for people to relax, connect with nature, and heal π
Our horticultural therapy groups help reduce isolation and loneliness by bringing people outdoors, offering peer support from those with lived experience, and creating meaningful ways to give back to the local community π
π We enjoyed a fun and productive day of apple pressing with our community group at Stratford-upon-Avon hospital.
π Using apples we had picked from local orchards, we set up the press and people stopped by to watch, chat, and taste the juice.
π₯€We bottled up plenty for folks to take home, and hospital staff were keen to grab a few too!
π It was a great day of bringing people together, making use of apples to prevent waste, and celebrating the season.
π As part of our Harvest Share project, we spent several days in local orchards, handpicking apples to share with care homes and those in need within the community π
We had a lovely evening at the @wcavaorg Recognition and Rewards Event after being nominated π
We were thrilled to be presented with 3 awards in recognition of our local Green Therapy groups and the wonderful volunteers who attend for their community impact π
Lots of beneficial and impactful tasks were performed to help maintain and progress our nature reserve and hospital garden ππ»πͺπ»

Over the past month we hosted 3 more volunteering days with @NFUMutual_UK for 41 employees from their Learning & Development team and Strategy & Risk team π
