Today is Juneteenth, a day that commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and a commemoration of the end of slavery in the US. Let us all recognize the important legacy and meaning of this day.

Yesterday and today, students explored the principles behind building stable and giant structures using only paper cups. Working together as a whole group, they succeeded in creating their structure!

The 5th grade wanted to show off their persistence with this 2 white board-length PEMDAS problem. Their “warm-up” took the whole class, but they showed grit and made it to the finish line! Go 5th grade! ➕➖✖️➗
