Starting the day with yoga is definitely one of the best ways! Year 6 enjoyed practicing partner poses and demonstrated good paired working.

Year 6 developed their resilience and teamwork today by lighting fires. They successfully made hot chocolate for the class by boiling the water in Kelly kettles. It was hard work and they didn’t give up.

It was our first Forest School family sessions today. Our nursery children loved having their parents with them. It was great to see the interaction and communication and the smiles on everyone’s faces.

Aristotle’s turn at starting a fire today. The resilience was fantastic in the pupils and they did not give up. We also made our initials using natural materials.

Year 4 enjoyed a yoga session today. They were taught a sun salutation which was harder than it looked, especially the Crocodile!

Today, our reception class Plato designed their initial using natural resources and some of the children had a go at starting fires. It was tough but their determination was excellent to see. Forest School is excellent at developing resilience.

A day full of mud! Such a great experience for our reception class Aristotle to gain confidence and try new things. The mud slide did not disappoint!

Muddy fun at Forest School today! Muddy days are the best, so great to see the children able to explore in the rain and get their hands dirty.

Unfortunately children aren’t getting as much time outside, limiting their chances to develop imagination, skills, language and communication skills and the ability to solve problems. Forest School develops all of these skills. Here’s pics of nursery making fairy houses.
Our reception class Aristotle made dinosaur dens today! They worked well in groups, chosen by themselves, with who they wouldn’t normally work with in the classroom. #forestschool#dinodens#imaginativeplay#groupwork
