Very few leaves remain on the trees now, #Oak & #Beech are 2 of the last deciduous trees to drop their leaves in the #autumn. Look closely, you might notice that beech trees have already formed their buds, next year’s leaves are waiting for spring to arrive.
Ask a child what bats feed on and some will certainly say ’blood’! British bats are insect feeders, feeding mostly on midges, moths and beetles. A single pipistrelle bat can eat up to 3,000 insects in one night!

#LiDAR data allows us to create a detailed model of the earth’s surface, by allowing us to remove any tree cover and look at the topographical changes underneath. We can interpret this data to find unknown archaeology.
