@bludysonofbattl My main issue with Joshua is his resting face for Rand, at this point, should still have a half smile
From the beginning he has looked more like Darth Rand or a model face while in rest- and it makes him carry more serious than he should be
@MmJeanMichael1@wheeloftime_new @ReaderReborn But the difference in Aiel vs TR is the seed population they start with. Aiel are also more isolated vs TR
Not to mention the Aiel are separated much quicker after the breaking
@MmJeanMichael1@wheeloftime_new @ReaderReborn Yeah, the old blood was a very odd thing that is ditched pretty quick lol
Yes, there is very little external blood coming- but TR tubac is known all over the world, so lots of merchants have to come get it, and tax collectors came in a few generstions ago- and people have sex ha
@MmJeanMichael1@wheeloftime_new @ReaderReborn Yeah, if the redhead gene changed to dominate- but I was speaking more that the Aiel were more of an isolated population/less diverse when they went into the waste vs Manetheren
@wheeloftime_new @ReaderReborn That said, the Aiel would make less sense because they wouldn't be a diverse seed population- and their only common trait seems to be red-hair.
IMO, it doesn't take me out of the fantasy and makes for better casting- so it's worth the trade-off.
@wheeloftime_new @ReaderReborn The text in the books is sufficiently vague that for the TR, they could have been diverse- but just that Rand would have to be lighter skinned, and no Red hair/blue eyes there.
The show seems to rely more so on cultural representation, which I think works.
@Zushef29 If you like Elijah wood, and zany dialog and plot mixed with mystism, all wrapped up in a crazy mystery... check it out.
Probably one of my favourite shows ever haha

@ArynLance91 @TowerPodcast I remember being there when it was first conceived in ToT haha, like 95% sure it was used for people who had a problem with EF5 casting choices and was applied rightfully.
It is meant as an insult, and I dislike when people say it just for folk who want a closer adaptation
@elliotedits I guess you could, but you will be really confused with how different the characters are and where they are... but you could
You are waiting for 1.5 years plus- and the first three books are really good, and pretty much a completely different story... so you can read 1-3
@wheeloftime_new True enough, though I think in the instance of a shield- they would need line of sight because of how the weave functions, needing to smother a particular target
