🐯: Actually, a lot of trainees dream while looking toward the single goal of debuting. I was the same. But debuting doesn’t automatically mean everything works out. I had actually appeared on a survival program, and when I was eliminated in the final round, I became quite down.

I started talking less than before and spent a lot of time worrying and struggling, and I guess my parents noticed that side of me a lot. I kept thinking, What if I try becoming an idol again but still can’t succeed and end up going through this kind of hardship again?

At that time, my parents asked me, “Are you afraid that you might not succeed?” They told me that if that fear was what was keeping me from trying again, I shouldn’t worry so much. Even if things didn’t work out in the future, it would be okay as long as I could still remain their son. Hearing that gave me a lot of strength.

After that, I made up my mind and started reading many of the letters that fans had written to me in the past. And at that moment, I became certain. I realized that my desire was still too strong for me to stop here.

“Hello~! Before we knew it, we’ve been running nonstop together through DAILY:DIRECTION’s debut showcase, music shows, and even my birthday! It feels like the three weeks since our debut have passed by in the blink of an eye, filled with happiness. People say happy moments pass quickly, but I think that just means they stay even deeper in our hearts as memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime, right?

During this promotion, I found myself thinking a lot about who I was a year ago. Around this time last year, I was seriously worrying about my future and going through a period where I felt quite anxious.
