The irony is this should be celebrated by capitalists. Business that do not pay their employees a living wage are using welfare policies to “justify their existence.”
Every employee that does not receive a living wage for their labor is another potential government assistance case. Meaning any company that does not pay a living wage is supported by the tax payer, not the market.
If you are capitalist, like y’all claim, any business that goes under instead of drawing on the social welfare networks to survive is a win. Because supposedly business failing because they are unable to be profitable without outside support is a core belief of capitalism. The follow on belief is that business failing opens up new opportunities for capitalist growth of “stronger businesses that can flourish in the free market.”
But in reality capitalist don’t want “true capitalism” they want corporate welfare.
