Rather than consider us having bad audio quality back then maybe blame it on your headphones. It's your fault it sounds like crap.
And then by the time you get to season 2 you can pretend your headphones fixed themselves.

And bad voice acting...well you are in luck. If in doubt it's Cornish or Yorkshire.
