A Financial Professional Guarding the Gates of Hell | Native Son of the Garden State | My Opinions Are My Own

Milken was a complicated figure in finance whose pardon came long after his just punishment. Even Marc Rich was important to the development of commodities trading.

There is no complication in the fraud Milton was found guilty of. He built nothing.

[Acyn @Acyn]

Reporter: What was your reason for pardoning Trevor Milton?

Trump: I don't know him, but they say it was very unfair, and the thing that he did wrong was he was one of the first people that supported a gentleman named Donald Trump for president.

She may have been born to the Water Tribe, but at heart she was a firebender.

[Emmanuel @emmywayne64]

Rewatching LOK and It’s strange that Korra isn’t the best at waterbending, even though it’s her native element. Past Avatars like Yangchen, Kyoshi, and Aang were all the best at their native elements, and no one even came close to their level. But with Korra, it feels like almost everyone is better than her at waterbending. Katara mastered advanced techniques, Hama created bloodbending, Amon used it in ways no one else could, her uncle Unalaq outclassed her, and even Ming-Hua was more skilled than her. For an Avatar from the Water Tribe, it’s odd that she doesn’t dominate her own element like the others did and she even learned from a waterbending prodigy and master.

So it begs the question, why didn’t Korra dominate her own element the way other Avatar mastered theirs?

[Johnathon Upadhyay @ForSomeMarkets]

@Kiminino72 Korra ended with the introduction of nuclear energy (spirit vines). Chances are that just kept proliferating after the Earth Empire was defeated and ruined everything.

How bad is the Korean stock market? Bad enough the president is making suicide prevention posts. $SKHY $MU

@Shke_speare NGL, I would have instantly bought the Blu-Ray if they had the courage to have a bunch of kid avatars who didn’t make it over that 200 years.

@ErosValentyne_ That is very cute, wife

Rimworld and Dressmaker devs are straight up doing witchcraft to improve their games, meanwhile Creative Assembly kill Shogun 2 just by making Complete Edition

Also, just a reminder that the devs of Dressmaker are just a couple, and that the husband made the game for his wife

@RachelToRome Now you have to passive-aggressively make something using the avocado so your husband can tell her “Oh, my wife loved that avocado”.

"Military equipment comes from the store"

[Johnathon Upadhyay @ForSomeMarkets]

@fredgiblet @HaeckelGroyper It’s crazier than that. Rwanda toppled the Congo 2 years after its massive genocide.

[Johnathon Upadhyay @ForSomeMarkets]

@MumbiKarugu @HaeckelGroyper There is a lot of nuance someone could go into when discussing the history of Prussia and Germany, but the story still ends with the declaration of a unified German Empire. If Rwanda dominates Grands Lacs because their enemies suck, then they still dominate it all the same.

[Johnathon Upadhyay @ForSomeMarkets]

I encourage everyone to learn about the Congo Wars. It is one of the most fascinating theaters in Africa, and a clear case study of what happens once a competent polity finally shows up on the continent.

If you want to understand how unreliable & incompetent African militaries are; the tiny country in orange, which, unusually for an African country, has a relatively competent government, has successfully invaded & currently occupies parts of the green country.

The last time the United States *didn't* name one of our helicopters after a tribe, the Natives got pissed off btw
