So the price on release is for single player story only. You can expect when online does get released... it'll be double the price of the story mode 100% and then DLC prices will come too. This game will eventually go down as the most expensive game in history. It will take time though.

Well it was in the plans at some point. But the problem was/is....it's believed that Square enix gave the project to a third party company. And when they sent a demo over to square....they didn't like what they were doing and dropped the project... or at least put it on hold. But playing the OG is a very sweet and endearing experience. It really is a good story.

I also heard that they were making a short animated film or something about vivi? A sequel to the game i think. Can't remember fully.

But i 100% recomend 9. Especially if you're a fan of medieval fantasy stuff. Its great. If you do play it. Reach out and lemme know how you like it! Or if you have any questions.
