Great to see @ScottishPower remove the Bluther Burn Weir as part of the decommissioning works of Longannet Power Station. Weir restricted salmon and sea trout movements in the catchment. This will help them recover.

Working to protect wild salmon is vital for Scotland's ecosystems. Pleased to see the launch of the Scottish Wild Salmon Strategy and look forward working with @marinescotland @scotgov@ScottishEPA@nature_scot to implement this making sure salmon are protected here in the Forth.
@ScottishEPA need to be transparent with their licensing and take inspiration from other agencies. CAR licensing is secretive, who would even know what was being licensed and where. A platform similar to Marine Scotland's or planning framework needed! @TerryAHearn @MairiMcAllan
This doesn't come as a surprise with the many sewage related issues we help communities bring to light here in the Forth, but it does beg the question of whether @scottish_water are being adequately regulated by @ScottishEPA. Ambition needed to regulate but also tackle this issue
Yesterday, staff met with @EnvStanScot to showcase the work that both the Trust and @ForthDSFB do to protect and enhance rivers around the Forth. Good chat and discussion about issues rivers face in the Forth and where environmental law could be strengthened/used.

We are delighted to be working with @CrownEstateScot to support and promote the #salmon#fishing in the Forth. Looking forward to increasing value incl social and environmental and unlocking the potential for greater access. #partnership#FutureForthFishing
