Some have already taken a big hit the last few years, others are taking a big hit now, some are cutting services to keep increases low. In general it's high, London is slightly higher than average.

@MattBrownLdn @NeedlesOnNews @OnaagoshinAnang There could be skepticism on the budget increase actually being 33%. A budget is a political document as much as it's financial document. Inflationary pressures are receding, and a lot of assessment growth in coming from new towers opening downtown.

I hope that city politicians reflect, ask experts, and take time to learn. Can safe supply systems be better run, absolutely, but making knee-jerk decisions based on public opinions after one unbalanced presser is literally playing politics with people lives. Do the work!

@Abetterlondon1 @eyeonthefly @CityofLdnOnt There is a difference between letting it flood, which stores water and prevents downstream damage and enforcing the bank so when it floors we don’t find a new path to the river after waters receded. The work is about making the regular flow bank resilient so it can flood safely.

2) does safe prescription grade drugs making to the street mean more people are using or does it mean that those already using and getting safe supply from illegal channels instead of deadly fentanyl from those same channels.

Two thoughts on LPS safe supply presser yesterday.

1) there are only 276 patients on the safe supply program in London currently. Making it sound like 30,000 confiscated pills are diverted from a few hundred prescription users is both dangerous and laughable.

Yesterday Toronto set a daily rainfall record, the day before different storm London set one. Both cases the ran was all within a 2 hour period.
Pavement and infrastructure shortfalls exasperated the problem, but at the heart of it this is what climate change looks like in 2024.

Now is not the time to cave to NIMBY whims.

Density increases need to consult staff (can services support it) and developers (will you build it).

Density as a right is essential to get out of our housing crisis, make homes affordable again, and fight urban sprawl.

Where’s the pressers and pressure campaign over safe supply alcohol sold at LCBO and Beer Store outlets reaching teenagers through a vast network of black market distributors.

3) Last thought, what could possibly go wrong adding alcohol into an already at times hostile minor hockey environment in London?

This appears to be targeted to hockey rinks. The rinks that currently sell alcohol are Bud Gardens, Western Fair and Sports Park, all are run by private operators. Only Bed Gardens has alcohol allowed outside of a bar area.

2) Rinks that have bars tend to operate year-round ice. That really leaves Bostwick as the only viable candidate site (who wants a bar with their public library?)

Outside that we nothing is confirmed.

He could have been a radicalized far left Democrat or radicalized far right Libertarian our to stop Trump.

Or he could have just been a nobody who was going nowhere who wanted to be famous like Lee Harvey Oswald.
