رحم الله الرئيس السابق عبدربه منصور هادي.
عرفته لسنوات طويلة، وتعززت علاقتي به بعد توليه الرئاسة بمبادرة منه، وعملت تحت قيادته، فعرفت تفكيره وأسلوبه في العمل. توافقنا كثيرًا، وكان يردد دائمًا أن ما في رأسي هو ما في رأسه، والعكس، فيما يتعلق باليمن ومستقبله. وحتى آخر لقاء ��معني به، رغم ما شاب العلاقة أحيانًا من خلافات، ورغم ما كان يقع فيه من وقيعة بعض الأشخاص الذين كانوا يجيدون ذلك.
كان وطنيًا يرى اليمن الكبير من أقصى حوف إلى ميدي، ويؤمن بأن مشروع نظام حكم عادل هو الكفيل بالحفاظ على الوطن والدولة. ظُلم كثيرًا، وخذلته الأغلبية، وخذل نفسه أحيانًا، لكنه ظل مؤمنًا باليمن الواحد وبالدولة التي تتسع للجميع. ولهذا تبنى، عن قناعة وإيمان صادق، المشروع الاتحادي، وأتاح مساحة غير مسبوقة من الحرية في الحوار الوطني.
وأعتقد أن الرجل لم يُنصف كما ينبغي، لا خلال فترة حكمه ولا حتى قبلها، إذ تشكلت حوله صورة إعلامية بعيدة عن حقيقته في كثير من الأ��يان. الرئيس هادي في الواقع لم يكن ذلك الشخص الباهت أو الضعيف الذي جرى الترويج له، بل كان أفضل بكثير مما صُوِّر للناس، وأكثر حرصًا ووعيًا وتعقيدًا مما أراد خصومه إظهاره. لكن المؤسف أن كثيرًا ممن استفادوا من وجوده وسلطته لم يترددوا في تشويه صورته، بصورة مباشرة وغير مباشرة، سرًا وعلنًا، وتحميله وحده نتائج مرحلة كانت مليئة بالتعقيدات والتشابكات الداخلية والخارجية.
لدي الكثير مما يمكن قوله لإنصاف الرجل وتصحيح بعض ما كُتب وقيل عن تلك المرحلة، وعن وطنيته وطموحاته، كما لدي أيضًا ما يمكن قوله عن أخطائه ومواضع الاختلاف معه. لكن، في كل الأحوال، فإن الرجل الذي تولى مسؤولية السلطة في واحدة من أصعب مراحل تاريخ اليمن، وفي ظل دولة لم تكن تحت سيطرته كاملة ثم فقدها بعدما دُمِّرت من داخلها وخارجها، حاول أن يستعيدها�� وتكفيه المحاولة.
رحمه الله وغفر له وأسكنه الفردوس الأعلى من الجنة، وخالص التعازي لأبنائه وكافة أفراد أسرته، وللشعب اليمني المكلوم.

Canada condemns the Israeli government’s failure to prevent the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

Israel’s control of aid distribution must be replaced by comprehensive provision of humanitarian assistance led by international organizations. Many of these are holding significant Canadian-funded aid which has been blocked from delivery to starving civilians. This denial of humanitarian aid is a violation of international law.

Canada calls on all sides to negotiate an immediate ceasefire in good faith. We reiterate our calls for Hamas to immediately release all the hostages, and for the Israeli government to respect the territorial integrity of the West Bank and Gaza.

Canada supports a two-state solution which guarantees peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians. Canada will work intensively in all fora to further that end, including through the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the UN High-Level Conference on a Two-State Solution in New York next week.

President Trump's proposed forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza is deeply disturbing. It would violate the rights of Palestinians and international law, and it would set back efforts to promote peace and security for all in the region.

I support the hard work of reaching a two-state solution, with a viable and free Palestinian state living side by side in peace and security with the state of Israel.

The priority must be the completion of the first phase of the ceasefire and massive support for Palestinian families in Gaza in rebuilding their homes and lives.
