The folly is finished and will be open to visitors from tomorrow, so if you're anywhere between Borough and London Bridge during June, pop in to Marlborough Sports Gardens and have a moment of sublime contemplation in memory of Mary Wollstonecraft!
The Mary on the Green gang enjoyed visiting @FoundryBottle's fabulous #FollyForMary in its new home at Newington Green Primary School last week! #VindicationForMary
(Sharing again, without the typo this time!)
Heading to Jazz on the Green #N16 today? Make sure you check out @FoundryBottle's beautiful Wollstonecraft-inspired folly. Our very own Roberta Wedge will even give you a guided tour! (And why not follow them on Instagram, while you're at it!)
So lucky to have such fantastic community spaces & art installations on my new work doorstep. Love this collection celebrating inspirational women for 💯 years of women’s suffrage especially #womenlikealice (great name 😉) #Bankside certainly is a fab place to be ✌🏻@BOSTSE1
.@HomesProperty@standardnews THANK YOU! We are just a 'TINY' bit stoked to see the 'Interpreted Identities' #LFA2018@LFArchitecture exhibition featured as one of the 'unmissable' events! Shout out to all the architects and artists involved https://t.co/7RvPVMzjrt Union St SE1
Finally got to visit Wollstonecraft by the green @stewysstencils with a wonderful guided tour by Roberta Wedge from @maryonthegreen
It was amazing to see how many influential people both Mary and Newington Green have been connected to over the last three hundred years.
It was lovely to meet Roberta Wedge from @maryonthegreen today at the folly to discuss some exciting possibilities for it's future - watch this space! #minuteformary#follyformary
Practice Profile 2/10: Foundry & Bottle. We spoke to @FoundryBottle to find out more about the firm and why it chose to interpret the identity of Mary Wollstonecraft for the #InterpretedIdentities design challenge, part of #LFA2018@LFArchitecture https://t.co/b1Fszv4Asp
Even when the sun isn't out, the glass still looks wonderful, with the indirect light flattening it back into a drawing and filling the space with a soft glow, letting you truly appreciate the craft of the piece.
We'll be marching @processions2018 in London today: for Mary, and for all those who fought and continue to fight for equality.
Look out for our @stewysstencils-designed banners, and come and say hello! #PROCESSIONS2018
In celebration of the centenary year of women's suffrage, @BOSTSE1 presents 'Interpreted Identities' - a unique series of installations, each taking inspiration from an extraordinary female figure, past or present 🙌#LFA2018 https://t.co/1Sjk22T2gJ
If you're interested in helping to raise awareness of Wollstonecraft and give her the recognition she deserves, please look up the incredible @maryonthegreen campaign and support them in whatever way you can.
The folly is finished and will be open to visitors from tomorrow, so if you're anywhere between Borough and London Bridge during June, pop in to Marlborough Sports Gardens and have a moment of sublime contemplation in memory of Mary Wollstonecraft!
A huge thankyou to @ConcreteComms@BOSTSE1 and @LFArchitecture for organising this fantastic event, to Beam Studios, @dhhtimber and our fundraisers for all the support and donations, and to the stained glass club for this incredible ceiling
Very excited to start on site installation first thing tomorrow morning! If you haven't donated yet, now is your chance to get your name on the finished folly at https://t.co/U8YWXUqRgf
