With this method, you get to search all the outbreaks without spending all your ball/glob resources. Now that you can't farm outbreaks, if you don't get a shiny, you're out of luck and have to wait until another one that you want pops up. But the desired ones are common.

My (tested but unproven) shiny hunting method for massive mass outbreaks:
- Once you get one in a region you want, go there, save at camp
- Talk to Mai, reveal the outbreaks
- Search any you want, if you get a shiny, catch and save
- If you get nothing, reset and leave

I really hope Legends Arceus mechanics are the future for all Pokemon games. Thing like the overworld spawn interactions, non-battle catching, open-world flight are incredible.
